If you only have one minute...

  • Tabitha was determined to keep building her career while embracing motherhood.

So when an opportunity came up to attend a business event, she brought along her two-month-old baby. Things didn’t go as planned, and she left feeling embarrassed.

But that experience became part of a much bigger journey. As motherhood changed her daily life, she learned to let go of the pressure to do everything at once, accepted that some opportunities could wait, and discovered that different seasons require different priorities.

Hi, I’m Debbie O., founder of WorkingMumoPedia and a working mum figuring things out too. I created WMP to make room for honest stories and conversations about the career decisions, guilt, support, changing ambitions and everyday realities that come with working motherhood. Through real stories and practical resources, I hope another working mum can find something familiar in someone else’s experience and feel a little less alone.

Thank you so much for sharing my story. It’s such a good engaging read. I know it’s my story but I was glued to the end. Cheers to the good work.

Motherhood is truly a powerhouse! 🥹❤️ Reading this, I just looked at my baby and thought, “Oh God, how did I survive all of this?” 😂 It’s been such a long journey, and definitely not an easy one, but I’m so grateful for how far I’ve come. Through the sleepless nights, tears, exhaustion and everything in between, I’m proud of the mother I’m becoming. Motherhood is tough, but somehow, we keep finding the strength to carry on. ❤️
